Wisła Kraków has not finished its activities during the summer transfer window yet. President Jarosław Królewski confirmed that the club plans to import two more players, but does not intend to make hasty decisions. The authorities of the Ekstraklasa newcomer are waiting for appropriate conditions and final details of the talks.

“White Star” returned to the top league after four years spent in its backfield. Now the club’s goal is to build a team that will not only stay in the elite, but will be able to compete for much higher places.

Wisła Kraków wants to avoid a relegation fight

The return to the Ekstraklasa was a long-awaited moment for the Krakow club. Wisła had to go through a difficult path before it was again among the best Polish teams.

The club’s authorities do not want to allow a relegation scenario to repeat itself. For this reason, one of the most important tasks was to retain key players and provide Mariusz Jop with a broader and more competitive squad.

Five players have already joined the team

Wisła has made several specific transfers so far. Jérémy Guillemenot, Élie Youan, Maxence Maisonneuve, Oumar Conté and Marcel Łubik joined the team.

Each of the new players is expected to increase the capabilities of the coaching staff in a different position. The club focused on both experienced players and players who can further develop and increase their value.

The Wisła authorities did not reveal the names of the candidates or their positions. However, Król emphasized that the final elements of the negotiations will decide whether the players will ultimately go to Krakow.

The two planned reinforcements do not have to be Wisła’s last moves in this window. The club will continue to monitor the market and may react if there is an opportunity to acquire a valuable player on attractive terms.
