Lech Poznań provided details of the winter training camp

Lech Poznań has revealed a detailed schedule of winter preparations for the spring round of the 2025/2026 season. The most important point is the training camp, to which Niels Frederiksen’s team will fly to the United Arab Emirates.

The last matches before the winter break

Before “Kolejorz” starts preparations for the second part of the competition, this year he will have a few more matches. In the Ekstraklasa, the Poznań club will face Radomiak Radom, Wisła Płock and Cracovia. In the European cups, he will face matches against FC Lausanne-Sport and Sigma Olomouc in the Conference League. There is also a Polish Cup match against Piast Gliwice.

After the competition with the Czech opponent ends, the players will go for the Christmas and New Year break. The rest will last until January 6, that is Epiphany.

Start of preparations: tests and return to training

The Lech team will report to the club on January 6, and a day later they will do tests and begin intensive preparations. This is a traditional introductory stage before you leave for the main training camp.

The most important element of the plan will be a two-week trip to the Middle East. Lech planned to stay in Abu Dhabi from 11 to 25 January. The team will play sparring matches on site, whose opponents will be announced at a later date. The trip is intended to provide the team with suitable conditions for work and physical preparation, as well as the opportunity to test new tactical solutions.

Final touches in Poznań and the start of the tournament

After returning from the Emirates, the players will continue to train at the club’s facilities. This stage will last a few days and serve to refine the form before returning to the Ekstraklasa games. In the inaugural spring round, Lech will face Lechia Gdańsk at home.

The meeting will take place in early January and February – the exact date depends on the official league schedule. The Poznań team is in eighth place in the Ekstraklasa table, with 21 points. The spring will be crucial for them if they want to join the fight for European cups or defend the title of Polish champion.
