The protest of Falubaz Zielona Góra fans was widely echoed in the speedway community, but the situation is starting to change. After talks with the club, the fans’ association decided to suspend the boycott and return to the stands. However, this does not mean the end of the dispute.

Where did the conflict in Falubaz come from?

Tension all around Stelmet Falubaz Zielona Góra has been growing since the beginning of the season. Fans from the “Fanatics of Our Falubaz” association demanded the president’s resignation Adam Golińskipointing to several decisions that caused frustration.

The most emotions aroused:

• high ticket prices for the first match,
• lack of consent for the prepared binding,
• restrictions related to submitting a sector contribution.

As a result, the fans announced a boycott and instead of entering the stadium, they watched the match from outside, organizing the so-called the hill behind the facility.

The club and fans had different views

The dispute concerned not only organizational decisions, but also the interpretation of events. The club informed about the fans’ intrusion into the training, while the interested parties themselves emphasized that it was a form of support for the players.

The situation began to deteriorate, but in the following days there were signs of willingness to reach an agreement. The club admitted that there were communication errors and announced that relations would be improved. The Falubaz authorities apologized to the fans and declared their readiness for dialogue.

Fans suspend boycott, but set conditions

After the meeting of the fans’ delegation with the club’s representatives, an important decision was made. The boycott was not ended, but suspended. This means that fans are returning to the stands, but they will continue to closely monitor the actions of the authorities.

The findings included:

• return of previous organizational solutions at the stadium,
• lowering ticket prices,
• changes in communication between the club and fans.

At the same time, the question of the president’s future remains open. Fans admit that changing this position is more difficult than initially expected.

The first test will be in the next match

The fans will return during the match against Krono-Plast Włókniarz Częstochowa. This match is to be the first test of the new arrangements and relations between the two sides.

The fans announce that they will cheer again at the stadium at Wrocławska 69. At the same time, they emphasize that their decision is a form of credit, not the closure of the case.

The conflict did not disappear, it only changed its form

Suspension of the protest does not mean a full agreement. The fans clearly indicate that they will continue to keep an eye on the club and expect the arrangements to be implemented. If the situation deteriorates again, a return to boycott remains a realistic scenario.

For now, however, both sides have taken a step towards dialogue. For Falubaz, it is a chance to rebuild the atmosphere around the team, which has been one of the main topics in Polish speedway in recent weeks.
