Wiktor Nowak’s transfer to Slavia Prague is taking on a much broader dimension than initially expected. Górnik Zabrze is not only expected to earn several million euros from the 21-year-old midfielder, but also to bring in two players from the Czech club. If all arrangements are finalized, the Polish runner-up will carry out one of the most interesting transfer operations this summer.

Wiktor Nowak is getting closer to Slavia Prague

Wiktor Nowak is to leave Górnik Zabrze, although he did not play an official match for him. The midfielder joined the Silesian club before the previous season, but was immediately loaned to Wisła Płock. This move turned out to be very beneficial for him, because in Płock he got regular play and took advantage of the opportunity.

For Wisła Płock, the 21-year-old played in 33 matches, scored five goals and made one assist. Such numbers, combined with age and the status of the Polish youth representative, caused the interest of foreign clubs to quickly increase. The most attractive option turned out to be Slavia Prague, which is expected to pay approximately EUR 2.4 million for Nowak.

Górnik Zabrze will earn money and strengthen the squad

Ultimately, everything points to a breakthrough. The Czech is to sign a three-year contract with Górnik. Erik Prekop will increase competition in attack

The second player who is to move from Slavia Prague to Górnik Zabrze is Erik Prekop. The 28-year-old Slovak striker was previously linked with the Silesian club, but for some time there was no further connection with the topic. Now he is back during negotiations regarding Nowak.

Prekop joined Slavia a year ago from Baník Ostrava for EUR 3.1 million. Last season he scored five goals and added three assists. In Górnik, he could strengthen the offensive and increase competition in attack, which may be important when playing on several fronts.
