Gasper Tratnik stays at Motor Lublin
Motor Lublin announced the signing of a new contract with Gasper Tratnik. The Slovenian goalkeeper’s contract will be valid until June 30, 2027, which shows that the club still sees a place for him in the team being built for the next PKO Ekstraklasa season.
In the previous competitions, Tratnik was not the first choice between the posts. He appeared in eight games, and for most of the season he had to acknowledge the superiority of Ivan Brkić. The Slovenian admitted that he would like to play more often, but at the same time he appreciated his opponent’s good form and emphasized that in football you have to be ready to work patiently.
A chance for a stronger position in goal
The end of the season gave Tratnik the opportunity to show his capabilities. The goalkeeper said that he took advantage of the opportunity he was given, although he is aware that he can still develop. He also mentioned the work he did with goalkeeping coaches, whom he thanked for their support in daily preparations.
The extension of the contract may mean a new stage for him at Motor. Brkić left for Legia Warszawa after his contract expired, so the competition for a place in the squad will look different than in the last campaign. Tratnik stays at the club at a time when the team is undergoing extensive personnel and organizational changes.
