Raków Częstochowa ended the foreign training camp with another demanding test. At the end of the training camp in the Netherlands, Raków Częstochowa faced PSV Eindhoven. The sparring with the 27-time Dutch champion was the last test before the team’s return to the country and at the same time another opportunity to test their form before the start of the Ekstraklasa and the qualifying rounds of the Conference League.
It was Raków’s third control match against a demanding opponent during summer preparations. Earlier, the Częstochowa team lost to Olympiakos 1:2 and to Zulte Waregem 3:4. Despite the unfavorable results, the coaching staff could be satisfied with the attitude of the players, who were able to create a threat in front of the opponents’ goal in every match.
An exciting first part of the match
The match was played in an unusual format. Both teams agreed that each half would last 60 minutes, which allowed more players to receive the appropriate number of minutes on the pitch.
The hosts started better. PSV took the lead after Joey Veerman precisely served Kilian Sildillia, and Kacper Trelowski had to pull the ball out of the net. Raków quickly responded and took the initiative. First, Adin Molnar tied the score by taking advantage of Władysław Koczerhin’s pass, and a moment later Patryk Makuch gave the Częstochowa team the lead after an assist from Jean Carlos Silva.

The preparation period is coming to an end, and the inhabitants of Częstochowa face their first official challenges. On July 23, Raków will play in the second round of qualifying for the Conference League, in which it will face Valletta from Malta.
A few days later, the team will also start competing in the new Ekstraklasa season. At the inauguration of the competition, Wisła Płock will host Wisła Płock in front of its home crowd, starting the fight for further league points.
