There are many indications that Górnik Zabrze are not giving up on the subject of Michał Synoś, one of the most promising Polish defenders of the younger generation. The captain of the Polish U-19 national team has been under the eye of the Ekstraklasa leader for a long time, who intends to take advantage of the player’s contract situation.
The end of the contract is approaching
Synios currently represents Stal Rzeszów, but his contract expires at the end of the current season. At the moment, there are no signs indicating that the first team of the league is preparing a new proposal or that the player is interested in continuing to stay in Podkarpacie. Everything suggests that next summer could become a moment of revolution in his career.
The young defender has been receiving signals from many sides for some time. He is being followed by Ekstraklasa clubs, but also by foreign teams – including Cagliari Calcio, who have already explored the possibility of bringing in the 18-year-old player. A few months ago, the topic of his departure was very real, but Stal established a prohibitive fee, which effectively reduces the enthusiasm of potential buyers.
Górnik Zabrze is serious about the 18-year-old
However, the situation changes dramatically because in the summer, Synoś will be able to change clubs without having to pay Stal any compensation. According to the latest reports, Górnik Zabrze is most determined to sign the Polish U-19 representative.
The Ekstraklasa leader is famous for his ability to find and develop young talents. In recent years, several players or players acquired at a young age have been sold for high amounts to foreign clubs. Synoś fits this model perfectly – he has potential, experience in senior football and already plays an important role in the youth teams.
Preliminary contract from January?
If the defender does not extend his contract with Stal, from January 1 he will be able to legally sign a preliminary contract with any club. The new contract would come into force in the summer of 2026, giving time to interested teams to plan its implementation in the first team.
In Rzeszów, Synoś has already played 47 matches. Despite his young age, he regularly appears on the pitch and shows great maturity on the pitch, which only adds to his market value.
Where will the youth representative go?
Although there are also foreign clubs on the radar, Górnik Zabrze seems to be the most specific at the moment. For the player, it can be a jump to the highest league and at the same time a place where young players often have a real chance to develop.
The final decision will probably be taken in the first months of next year, when Synoś will be able to freely negotiate the future. His fate promises to be one of the most interesting transfer sagas in Polish youth football.
