The Egyptian Football Association has already stepped up its efforts launching a coordinated approach to convince the PSG youngster to represent Egypt at youth level.

Algeria however are not backing down. The Algerian Football Federation continues to monitor the player closely and is working behind the scenes to attract dual national talents across Europe.

His development has already been rewarded with promotion to PSGโs U23 squad. He has made three appearances in the Premier League International Cup although he is yet to register a goal contribution at that level.
