The sanction that had been imposed on AS Vita Club has been officially lifted. FIFA has announced the closure of disciplinary proceedings and the permanent lifting of the ban on registering new players, following an agreement reached between the Congolese club and its creditor.
The Fรฉdรฉration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has brought an end to the disciplinary procedure targeting AS Vita Club. In a letter dated April 28, 2026, the world football governing body confirmed it had been informed of a settlement agreement between the club and its creditor, Sid Ahmed Ablla.
This agreement automatically results in the case being closed and the sanction being lifted permanently.
End of the transfer ban
Originally, AS Vita Club was hit with a ban on registering new players following a decision in the case. With the dispute now resolved, FIFA has clarified that this measure is now permanently lifted. The Congolese club therefore regains its full ability to operate in the transfer market.
