The 2025/2026 season in Ekstraklasa ended with success for Lech Poznań, but the most important individual award went to GKS Katowice. During the Ekstraklasa Gala, the best players, coaches, youth players and people who joined the Gallery of Legends were honored.

Bartosz Nowak is the Ekstraklasa player of the season

The greatest distinction was received by Bartosz Nowak. The GKS Katowice midfielder was chosen the best player of the 2025/2026 season and additionally received a statuette for the best midfielder of the competition. This is a reward for the excellent months in which he was one of the team’s main leaders.

Nowak played 34 matches, scored nine goals and made twelve assists. His form was of great importance for GKS, which ended the season with promotion to the European cups. The Katowice club was one of the biggest positive stories of the competition, and Nowak became the face of this success.

Lech Poznań with the championship and an award for the coach

Lech Poznań won the Polish championship for the second time in a row. During the gala, Kolejorz representatives received two statuettes. Niels Frederiksen was again elected coach of the season, ahead of Michal Gasparik, Rafał Górak, Marek Papszun and Adrian Siemieniec.

Poznań also received an award for the best defender. It was awarded to Wojciech Mońka, who won the competition against Rafał Janicki, Arkadiusz Jędrych, Marcin Kamiński and Oskar Wójcik.

Gallery of Ekstraklasa Legends with new names

During the gala, people who made contributions to Polish football were also honored. Jacek Magiera, Marek Chojnacki, Tomasz Wieszczycki, Krzysztof Dowhań and Andrzej Janisz were inducted into the Ekstraklasa Gallery of Legends.

The gala closed the season in which Lech defended the championship, GKS Katowice impressed with its form, and several individual stories stood out above the league everyday. However, Nowak became the strongest symbol of this competition because he combined great numbers with a real impact on his team’s success.
