Fast start and costly mistakes
The match exploded into life almost immediately.
Brazil took the lead after just six minute when Bruno Guimarães capitalized on a dangerous mistake from Mohannad Lasheen. The Newcastle midfielder reacted quickly to the loose ball and fired past Mostafa Shobeir to make it 1-0.

Shobeir emerges as Egypt’s biggest winner
As Brazil gradually increased their control, Egypt came under sustained pressure from an attack led by Vinícius Júnior & Raphinha.
However Mostafa Shobeir delivered one of the strongest performances of his international career.
The goalkeeper produced several important saves including a key stop to deny Vinicius after a dangerous attacking move. His calm handling and positioning helped Egypt remain level at halftime despite Brazil’s growing dominance.

Endrick changes the game
Brazil found the breakthrough shortly after the restart.
Carlo Ancelotti introduced Endrick at halftime and the young striker made an immediate impact.
In the 51st minute, Raphinha produced a brilliant run down the left flank before delivering a low cross into the penalty area. Endrick timed his movement perfectly and finished first time to restore Brazil’s advantage.
The goal highlighted one of Egypt’s defensive concerns as Brazil were able to exploit space inside the box during a quick transition.

Salah returns as Egypt push for an equalizer
The second half also marked the arrival of Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool star received a warm reception from supporters in Cleveland and immediately added composure to Egypt’s attacking play. Although Brazil’s defense limited his space, Salah helped Egypt carry more threat during the closing stages.
Substitutes Ahmed Sayed Zizo & Mohamed Abdelmonem also contributed positively.
Egypt nearly found a dramatic equalizer in stoppage time when Zizo unleashed a powerful left footed effort from outside the area. The shot narrowly missed the post denying the Pharaohs a late reward for their persistence.

What Egypt learned before Belgium
Beyond the result, the match provided valuable information for Hossam Hassan.
Egypt showed character after conceding early and remained competitive against a team filled with elite level talent. The performances of Shobeir, Ziko & Omar Marmoush offered encouraging signs while Salah returned without issues ahead of the World Cup.

Brazil’s depth sends warning before Morocco clash
For Brazil, the victory demonstrated the strength of Ancelotti’s squad.
Bruno Guimaraes controlled large portions of midfield, Raphinha was a constant threat and Endrick once again showed why he is considered one of football’s brightest young talents.
Perhaps most importantly, Brazil’s substitutes made an immediate impact. The introductions of Endrick and several other fresh legs increased the tempo and helped secure the win.
Yet Brazil will not leave completely satisfied. The defensive mistake that gifted Egypt their goal served as a reminder that even the strongest teams can be punished for lapses in concentration.
With Morocco waiting in their World Cup opener, Ancelotti will know those errors could prove far more costly on the tournament stage.
