Lechia Gdańsk lost another representative of the staff responsible for the sports department. According to the latest information, Kevin Blackwell will no longer work within the club’s structures. The Englishman has served as technical director since October 2023.
His future after the season was unclear. Earlier, there were signals that the 67-year-old might still stay in Tricity, but ultimately he also ends his mission in Lechia. The decision on this matter was to be made a few weeks before the end of the competition.

The biggest consequence of the unsuccessful season was Lechia Gdańsk’s relegation to the first league. After the last match, coach John Carver confirmed that he would not continue to lead the team. His contract included an automatic termination clause in the event of relegation.
