The England squad has faced an unexpected incident just days before their World Cup 2026 opener. According to the British press, several pieces of team equipment were reportedly stolen during transit between Florida and their Kansas City base camp.
The theft reportedly involved football boots belonging to certain players as well as some of the gear used during training sessions. Disrupted preparations
This incident comes amid ongoing security concerns at England’s Kansas City base. Last week, a shooting that left nine people injured took place just a few kilometres from the training centre, though neither players nor staff from the England team were involved.
At this stage, the English FA has not indicated whether the theft will impact the team’s preparations ahead of their World Cup opener. The missing equipment is expected to be replaced swiftly so as not to disrupt the scheduled programme.
