The Pole, together with Anna Siskova, won the second match at this year’s Wimbledon and advanced to the doubles quarterfinals. The meeting with the Czech duo was full of twists and turns, and everything was decided by the nervous end of the super tie-break.

Katarzyna Piter remained the only Polish tennis player in Wimbledon doubles. Together with Anna Siskova, she defeated Jesika Maleckova and Miriam Skoch 6:4, 3:6, 7:6 (7), thanks to which she reached the quarterfinals of the London tournament.
For Piter, this is an exceptional result. For the first time in her career, the 35-year-old won two matches in one Grand Slam event. Her collaboration with Siskova does not have a long history, as they had previously only performed together in Den Bosch. They won one match there, and in London they already improved this result.
First set for Piter and Siskova
The beginning of the match was even, but Piter and Siskova were the first to find a way to serve their opponents. The key breakthrough came in the fifth game. This advantage was enough to control the result until the end of the game.

The second set belonged to Maleckova and Skocha. The Czechs jumped 5-1 and it seemed that they would quickly equalize. Piter and Siskova tried to get back into the game, reducing the gap, but they were unable to turn the game around.
