GKS Katowice intends to present the team for the first time before the season in Park Zadole. The event is scheduled for July 17, and the club has prepared a meeting with fans, a presentation of new players, an autograph session and a show of new uniforms for the upcoming games.
However, even before the event began, controversy arose. The “Let’s Save Park Zadole” social committee protested against organizing the event in this place, believing that the park and amphitheater are not a suitable location for an event that could gather hundreds of fans.
According to community activists, organizing the event may have a negative impact on the green area, which is currently undergoing modernization works.

The authors of the protest point out that Zadole Park is a place for residents to relax, and its maintenance requires a lot of work and resources. They are afraid that such a large event may lead to damage to infrastructure or greenery.
Additionally, they remind us that further summer cultural events have already been planned in the amphitheater, therefore – in their opinion – the organization of the football players’ presentation in this place raises justified doubts.
Despite the protest, GKS Katowice announces that the event will be organized as previously planned. For fans, it will be an opportunity to meet the team for the new season, see new shirts and meet the players. So far, there has been no information that would indicate a change in the location of the presentation.
